putting fresh food in the freezer. The recommended
amount of food to be frozen is given on the data
plate inside the appliance. When putting food in
the freezer, the red LED may light up until the ideal
temperature is reached.
After 24 hours, the fast freeze function is
automatically deactivated.
Tips for freezing and storing fresh food
• Before freezing, wrap and seal fresh food in:
aluminium foil, plastic wrap, cling film,
polyethylene containers with lids, and other
containers provided they are suitable for freezing
foods.
• Foodstuffs (except meat, see below) must be
fresh, mature and of prime quality in order to
obtain high quality frozen food.
• Fresh vegetables and fruit should preferably be
frozen as soon as they are picked to maintain the
full original nutritional value, consistency, colour
and flavour.
Some meat, especially game, should be hung
before it is frozen.
Note:
• Always leave hot food to cool before placing in
the freezer.
• Use fully or partially defrosted foods immediately.
Do not refreeze unless the food is cooked after it
has thawed. Once cooked, the thawed food can
be refrozen.
Freezing and storing fresh food
• Place foods to be frozen in the two upper
baskets.
• When the freezer is used without the rack, place
the ice packs above the food to be frozen at the
front of the top drawer.
Operation of the freezer
The freezer can be used for storing already frozen
food and for freezing fresh food. The amount of
fresh food (in kg) that can be frozen in 24 hours is
indicated on the appliance data plate. The freezer
can operate at ambient temperatures between
+10°C and +32°C. Optimal performance is
obtained at temperatures between +16°C and
+32°C.
Switching on the freezer for the first time
• There is no need to set the freezer temperature
using the control panel, because the appliance is
already factory-set.
• Insert the plug. The green LED lights up
(indicating that the appliance is ON) and the red
LED flashes to indicate that the freezer has not
yet reached a temperature low enough for
storing food.
Temperature adjustment
By repeatedly pressing the button A, the set
temperature changes in a cyclic way (LED 1 -> LED
2 -> LED 3 -> all 3 LEDs on - fast freeze function
active -> LED 1...)
The room temperature, the frequency of door
opening and the amount of food to be frozen can
affect the freezer temperature adjustments.
Therefore it is advisable to initially set a medium
temperature (LED 2 on).
LED functions
The green LEDs indicate the set temperature.
The red LED indicates that the temperature inside the
appliance is not suitable for storing food.
The 3 green LEDs lit simultaneously indicate that the
fast freeze function has been activated.
Fast freeze function
press the button A repeatedly to activate the fast
freezing function (3 green LEDs on) 24 hours before
Daily use
Connect the appliance to the power supply. The
ideal food storage temperatures are already
factory-set (LED 2: medium temperature)
Note: After switching the appliance on, it will take
2-3 hours before a temperature suitable for a
normal load is reached.
